The Tour de USA is Here
The Tour de USA, a cross country motorcycling ride that aims to raise awareness for prostate cancer, has officially begun. The ride started on July 30th and goes until September 15th. The 48 day long ride goes from Manhattan Beach, California to Washington, DC and back, and is the longest motorcycle charity tour in the world, totaling 7,667 Miles.
Along the way, they will be making a documentary film about the ride, and will be interviewing prostate cancer survivors at each stop. If you are a prostate cancer survivor, or know of someone who is, they encourage you to partake in the event by being present at the stops along the route, which are listed on their website.
According to an official release “Proceeds from the Tour de USA 2010 will go to creating and sustaining additional prostate cancer awareness events and to pay for testing for men without insurance.“ We’re doing our part to support the cause, and we encourage you to do the same by spreading the word, making a donation, or even joining in! Everyone that donates $25.00 or more will receive an exclusive Tour de USA 2010 embroidered patch. Check out the official blog to get up to date information on the tour! You can also follow the Tour de USA on social networks facebook and on twitter.

I applaud your work. Sorry to tell you that in 2010 I rode a victory vision 43369 miles 50 states 2 countries and 3 provinces for pancreatic cancer while getting chemo on the road. Long way down and long way round also both out clocked you by a fair margin riding for UNICEF. All that being said Great job and thanks for all you do to end cancer. Chris C
